What is known as “Friendship Service” occurs on the third Wednesday of each month at the 10.30 am Eucharist. At this particular service a coordinated effort is made to bring together members of the community that are in residential care, housebound, isolated or lonely. It gives all who attend an opportunity to partake in a worship Service at St Michael’s, enjoying the richness of music, the holy sacraments and a time of fellowship following the service as we go into the parish hall for refreshments.
This pleasant and valuable outreach is coordinated by a team of volunteers who work together as they assist with transport, welcome people, assist with mobility, provide refreshments, and engage in conversation.
The service (like all services at St Michael’s) is open to anyone to attend. Should you like to attend or know of someone that may be interested in attending and require assistance in any way, please contact the parish office so we are able to assist in making arrangements.
